The baby's room is done. I still want to add her name to the wall ( when we have one :) and also add a few more little details, but this is the main stuff. It's hard to tell from the photos, but its really cute! I love it!

The Kern's Visit

The Kern's came to visit us in our new house on Friday. It was so great to see them. Here are a couple of pictures of cutie Dylan!

Raley, our dog, also really liked Dylan, and decided to sit by him and Nicole, while Nicole was feeding him. It was cute. We were glad, Raley was pretty good with him, so that gives us hope that she will be calm with our baby. :) She did try to steal his cookie during dinner though :)

Brett's Birthday

Happy Birthday Brett. We celebrated Brett's 29th birthday by having a little BBQ at our house with my family. Brett's parents were in Mexico. Here is Brett and I with his cake.

Hilmar Baby Shower

Brett's Aunt Sharon, Aunt Marjorie and cousin-in-law and my good friend Melissa hosted a wonderful shower in Hilmar for all of the Hilmar family and friends. It was so nice. Everything was gorgeous! We got everything else we needed for baby Honore' too. We are now officially prepared for baby :)

Of the 8 babies at the shower, only Jen Kuctha's little Alden was a boy!

Baby BBQ for Juan and Heather

Brett and I hosted a small BBQ for Juan and Heather, who are expecting a baby boy in September! there were lots of babies there. Shawn and Jen Kuctha had their baby, Alden, and Andrew and Julie had their new baby Helen and also their son Aidan. And Jackie was there with Giana, who had a lot of fun splashing around in the pool! It was fun to get to see the babies and celebrate Juan and Heather's new one to come!

We've Moved!

We've Moved....Finally! Sorry I have updated in a while, computer has not been up and running. We moved Memorial Day weekend. We had so much help, it was wonderful! Thank goodness for my parents and Brett's parents and all of Brett's friends who helped make the process so easy, especially since I am so pregnant and couldn't do much of anything. We even managed to have a few friends over that Monday to celebrate my birthday and break in the new house!
I will post some pictures of the house and the baby's nursery soon!

On Sunday, We had Tara's baby shower at Nicole's house. Tara and I are only due 2 days apart! Her shower was a Dr. Seuss theme shower. It came out so cute. The pic above is me, Tara, Jerri, Anna, Cassie and Nicole and Dylan!

Baby Showers

This Saturday I had my first baby shower that my friends, Cassie, Cassie, Anna, Nicole and Steph threw for me. It was in Stockton at Nicole's house. It was so adorable! I had such a great time spending time with all of my close friends! The theme was pink and everything looked so cute! Cassie Gomes made the cake and a mini-Camy for the top, which was adorable! Here are some pictures from the shower. Above is the whole group that was there! Below is me with all the hostesses!

One table had baby pictures of Brett and I, and lots of pink candy and the cutest diaper cake that Nicole made. The flowers on top are headbands that Nicole made for the baby!

24 weeks Ultrasound

24 week ultrasound

We went in for another ultrasound on Wednesday. Everything looked great! She weighs 1 pound, 7 ounces! We don't have to go back into the Genetics place for anymore ultrasounds since everything looked good. We go back to the doctor in two weeks. I will also post another belly shot soon, it seems to be getting bigger every day! :)

Fun Weekend

This past weekend, I went to San Luis Obispo for the "somewhat annual wine and women weekend". It was great to see all of my friends from AXO. We had a great time.
Above is a pic of all of us in front of our limo. And Tara and I, both preggo. We are a week apart. I am about 21 weeks and she is 20 I think in this shot. I can't wait to see everyone again in May for the baby showers, and see how much Tara and I's bellys will have grown by then :)

20 weeks

Here is my 20 week Belly shot. In two weeks, I have really popped out! My belly seems to be getting bigger everyday now :)We also had another ultrasound last Thursday and they confirmed it was a girl!

We also had a surprise 30th anniversary party for my parents this past weekend. They were kind of surprised. I guess a few people had some slip-ups that made them a little suspicious. Here are a couple of pictures. One is of a poster Brett made of them that was funny, and the one below is all of us kids with a cutout picture from their wedding day! Check out my dad's white suit :)

GIRL!!! We went in for our ultrasound today! It was so neat, we got to see the heartbeat and the spine, brain, everything! We had the technician put the sex of the baby in an envelope for us. When we went into the appt. we both kind of thought it would be a boy, but when we left the appt. we both thought it was girl, we didn't see anything that would suggest boy :) We opened the envelope at lunch afterwards. They do say that sometimes the girl ulatrasounds sometimes do pop up as boy later on down the road, so were not painting pink just yet :) but the technician said she was pretty sure it was a girl. We have another ultrasound in two weeks so maybe that will firm it up.

Cabin Weekend

This past weekend we went to the cabin in Felton to celebrate our friends Shawn and Jen Kuchta who are expecting a baby boy in April. We also got to see our friends Julie and Andrew and their son Aidan, who just turned two! and they are expecting a little girl in April. And Robert and Ashley Phelan, whose son Ryland is 6 months. On the way to the cabin, we stopped at the beach house to see our cousins, the Owens, who were in town from Omaha with their new little one, Henry, who is about 2 months old. We also got to see their other kids, Daisy, Jack and Leo, and Jon and Jen's kids, Georgie and Fin. They were all having a great time at the beach. Here are some photos from the weekend!

Fox News comes to Firebaugh

My Dad and his friend Chris Hurd were on Fox News Channel this weekend. They called him last week wanting to do a story on the water shortage in CA and witching water. My dad can witch water, which basically means find underground water before farmers or developers build a well there. The news said he was a " water witch" though :) so we were giving him a hard time. The fox news people were camped out at the Hurds house all day Saturday doing the intro feeds for the segments live from Firebaugh. They were all really nice and showed us how everything worked and how they feed the stories and cut the segments. They were also telling us stories about when they covered the Hurricanes and things like that. We were surprise how nice they were!

Julie's Baby Shower!

Julie's baby shower was Saturday in Merced. Julie doesn't know the sex yet, hence the green and yellow. Her sister Cassie did a great job throwing such a wonderful shower for her! The cake was adorable! Julie got a lot of really great gifts, she is due in March!

Hi Everyone,

We have decided to join the club and start a blog to keep our friends and family up to date with the progress of baby Honore' on the way. I am now 14 weeks along. I feel great so far. I am going to try and scan our first two ultrasounds to post :)
